Varsity Football Kickoffs Off Home Season

The Indians varsity football team will host Pendleton Heights in the 2015 season home opener on Friday, August 28.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  It’s a RED-OUT NIGHT! Wear your red and show your Anderson High pride! Also, in conjunction with Anderson’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, the first 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative sesquicentennial pennant.

Swimmers compete at NCC Championships

The Anderson high School swim teams competed this past weekend in the NCC Championships held at Purdue University’s pool. Both the boy’s and girl’s teams finished fifth out of the ten conference schools. Scholar athletes honored

The North Central Conference recently released the 2014 fall academic all conference selections and Anderson has a number of students named. The criteria is a fall varsity senior letter winner with a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA. Fall AHS athletes honored

This fall several of the AHS student athletes were honored by the North Central Conference as making their respective sports all conference team. Student athletes honored this fall included: Dax Swanson- 1st team Tennis, Charlie Colip and Andrew Duquaine- 2nd team Tennis, Gema Rodriguez- 1st team G Soccer and Cody Gray- 1st team B Soccer.

Indian Runners Advance

The Anderson cross country teams had individuals advance out of the Pendleton Heights cross country sectional to move on to the Delta regional. Freshman Katie Bryson moved on for the girls and junior Austin Stevens and freshman Eddie Armalfitano moved on competing for the boys. At the regional, Stevens continued his season by qualifying for

Carter signs to play at Cincinnati State

Senior Samia Carter has signed to continue her basketball career next fall at Cincinnati State. The senior point guard that helped lead the Lady Tribe to two regionals during her career will move on to play next season for Coach Beeler at State.

Boyd and Gray nominated for Wilson Award

Senior Da’Sha Boyd and junior Cody Gray have been nominated for the annual Johnny Wilson Award. Wrestlers continue on in tournament

Four of the Anderson wrestlers continued their run to Bankers Life and the State Meet as they advanced out of the Pendleton Heights Regional. Anderson had 5 wrestlers move on from the Hamilton Heights Sectional to compete at the Regional. Individual champions included: Zach Amos (145), Bryant White (195) and Rome Kayzer (220).
