Multiple Teams · Boys swim past Tigers; Girls win 9 of 12 events


The Anderson Boys Swimming & Diving team moved to    2-0 on the season after a convincing 123-52 win at Hagerstown Tuesday. Winning for the Tribe were Carson Smitherman in the 200 and 500 Freestyle, Dayton Edwards in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke, Jaden Wilcox in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, Aiden Barrett in the 100 Butterfly, and Jackson Stephenson in 1m Diving. Relays won by AHS were the 200 Freestyle, featuring Edwards, Barrett, Wilcox, and Smitherman, and the 400 Freestyle with Smitherman, Evan Behrens, Barrett, and Edwards.

On the girls side, the team dropped the overall decision 97-82. However, the Indians won 9 of the 12 events. Finishing 1st for Anderson were Amber Lindzy in the 200 and 500 Freestyle, Libby Hahn in the 200 IM, Allie Bramwell in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke, and Abby Boerner in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. The Tribe also won two relays, the 200 Medley with Boerner, Bramwell, Lindzy, and Shelby Wright, and the 200 Freestyle with Boerner, Bramwell, Lindzy, and Hahn.

Anderson travels to Jay County Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. start.
