NOBLESVILLE — Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern and Noblesville may have swept the golf sectional team advancements here Saturday, but area golfers took all three of the individual spots.

As a result, Lapel’s Kristen Hobbs, Anderson’s Alexa Nadaline and Shenandoah’s Sami DeLey will all be playing golf next Saturday when Lapel hosts the regional at Edgewood Golf Course.

The sectional was played at the Pete Dye-designed Harbour Trees Golf & Beach Club, but it was no day at the beach for many of the girls playing in the tournament. The unforgiving, 5,169-yard layout sent all but five scores from the non-advancing teams into triple digits.

Nadaline’s 44-45-89 was also the product of some good tee shots. “I hit my driver really well,” she said. “That was a big bonus. I lost a couple of putts out there. I had no idea what I needed to shoot to get out but I wanted to break 90 just for myself.”

Nadaline’s next test comes this Saturday at Edgewood Golf Club in Anderson, a course she knows well. First tee times are at 9:00 a.m.
