Strong Offense Not Enough As Anderson Indians Falls To Richmond
Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Anderson Indians fell to Richmond 11-7 on Wednesday.
Anderson Indians captured the lead in the second inning. With one out in the second inning Dylan Barron drove in one run when he singled.
Richmond took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Thomas Stanley singled off of Barron, driving in one run, Phillip Hobbs tripled off of Barron, driving in two runs, and there was an error, scoring one run.
Anderson Indians scored four runs in the seventh inning. Anderson Indians scored on a single by Tyler Gentilcore, a fielder’s choice by Gabe Reyes, and a error.
Gabe Crowe earned the win for Richmond. He went three innings, allowing two runs, six hits, striking out two, and walking zero. George Dickman recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for Richmond. Barron took the loss for Anderson Indians . He tossed three innings, allowing four runs, five hits, striking out three, and walking zero.
Anderson Indians collected 11 hits. Braden Odom and Jacob Morris each collected multiple hits for Anderson Indians . Morris, Reyes, Gentilcore, Barron, and Odom each drove in one run to lead Anderson Indians .
