Anderson Indians ‘s effort to come back from down four runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 4-3 to Elwood on Tuesday. Anderson Indians scored three runs in the failed comeback on a walk by Keaton Davis in the fifth and a single by Tyler Gentilcore in the seventh.
Jake Wilson earned the win for Elwood. He tossed five and two-thirds innings, giving up one run, six hits, and striking out nine. Jackson Tunnell recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Elwood. Dylan Barron took the loss for Anderson Indians . He pitched four innings, giving up four runs, seven hits, and striking out two.
Anderson Indians had eight hits in the game. Braden Odom and Drayven Hoyle each collected multiple hits for Anderson Indians . Hoyle and Odom each managed two hits to lead Anderson Indians . Odom led Anderson Indians with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
Elwood collected eight hits. Caleb Jones and Wilson each collected multiple hits for Elwood.
