Indians Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Marion
Indians defeated Marion 9-4 thanks to a strong start. Indians scored on a single by Shelby Wright and a double by Azariah Fuller in the first inning.
Indians earned the victory despite allowing Marion to score three runs in the seventh inning.
Indians scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a home run by Sierra Cunningham and a single by Aly Milburn.
Wright earned the win for Indians. She threw seven innings, surrendering four runs, five hits, and striking out five.
Indians had 17 hits in the game. Rachel Duncan, Emma Kelley, Wright, Azariah Fuller, Kerrigan Huffman, and Milburn each collected multiple hits for Indians. Cunningham led Indians with three runs batted in. She went 1-for-5 on the day.
