Game Recap

It was a fantastic opening game of the 2016 season between Yorktown and Anderson. The Tigers jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead but Anderson equalized with an offensive score then a 30-yard INT return for touchdown by Jalen Swain. The Indians twice took a lead, first at 21-20, then 33-29. However, Yorktown responded with a long touchdown drive and the play of game, a block of Ely Erny’s would be game winning FG.

Quarterback Dylan Barron had a career night, going 20-34 for 244 yards and 3 TDs and no interceptions. Barron also ran for 84 yards on 16 carries. Aaron Armstrong had 8 receptions for 91 yards and 3 TDs. Drayven Hoyle had 5 catches for 87 yards.
